Brief overview of program: Hydrology is the science dealing with the waters of the earth, their occurrence, distribution, and circulation, their chemical and physical properties, and their interaction with the environment. This course presents students the physical science of hydrology in the context of its application to real world problems. Emphasis is placed on understanding the physical processes (precipitation, evapotranspiration, runoff, soil water, and groundwater) that form the hydrologic cycle at global, regional, and watershed scales.
